I have encountered many people along my walk, some of my own experiences as a person in need of healing have been traumatic, upsetting, and restricting of my Growth. Some people come to destroy, others come to restore; but when our DISCERNMENT has taken a hit, or isn't what it needs to be, we are left open to attack. There are MANY folks out here who are not what they claim. In nearly every Spiritual Tradition, we are called upon to discern the difference between those who are Truly Called by Spirit and those who simply pretend. We often, sadly, encounter people along the way who are pushing a product attached to a very serious healing need. What this causes is, doubt, depression, guilt, blame, shame in the people who come to them for healing release. It causes HARM a harm so absolutely horrific that some never recover from it. This is something that deeply moves me, because it is so disrespectful to both the Art of Healing and those who come to us in need of healing.
