The Logos is the Eros to me

I decided to write a little bit about our Sensual/Sexual/Spiritual lives. Real rap brown, sensual energy is great. Who doesn't enjoy a wonderful exchange of intimate innerg/energy with a desirable partner?

Its largely problematic, though, in a global culture that endorses male exploration and definition of their sexual appetites and sexual identities... while simultaneously shaming female explorations, appetites and autonomous sexual identities. Moreover: the definition, establishment and enjoyment of their own sexuality. Independent of a penis and its interests of needs.

Hear me now:

Our Spirituality and Sensuality should be ONE! I said should be, because at the present moment they are not. At the present moment, in this Now time, we are still living in a very fragmented world. A world that says to women that our Sexuality and Sensuality are not Spiritual but perverse. We live in a world that has made the female and the feminine the very embodiment of Sex. Sex is bad, women are bad, women are sex, sex is bad. This is the dominant narrative, even in our overly pornified culture. For centuries, we women and the males who truly love/support us have been told that Sexuality is for Marriage and Baby making. Not for energy raising, not for healing work, not for release of pent up frustration or any such other creative means of activating our sexual/sensual/spiritual expressions. Viewing the most Sacred of shared experiences, partnered sexuality, in this light is unhealthy and breeds dysfunction. When our Spirituality, Sensuality and Sexuality are one, the Eros and the Logos and the Gnosis are also one.

1. Eros: In the Greek, Eros is the God of Love and Son of Aphrodite. The Roman Equivalent would be, of course Cupid. Eros in Freudian theory is the life instinct. Contrasted with Thanatos and the Jungian psychology principal of personal relatedness in human activities and often contrasted with the Logos. Eros, applied literally means Sexual Love. 
   
2. Logos:  Generally speaking here, the Logos represents the Word of God or principle of divine reason and creative order. In Jungian psychology the principal of reason and judgment associated with the Animus and often contrasted with the Eros. Logos, applied literally means Word.
   
3. Gnosis: The long and short here is knowledge of spiritual mysteries and secrets. The origins of this word come from the Greek. Gnosis, applied literally means knowledge or to know. I often use the spelling Gnow and Gno. It has become quite popular since I introduced it, within the black metaphysical community.
   

Connection to the truth of our Sexual/Spiritual/Sensual origins and purpose is freedom and liberation. Actualization via acceptance of this concept within our Mind-frame template enables true Self Knowledge and Power. Embrace all of you! ♥ You can be a highly sensual person and still be on the path to enlightenment and gnosis. Enlightenment is not anything more than the falling away of untruth. It is so unfortunate that our ideal and connection to the process of enlightenment have been so thoroughly tainted by the "love and light" cult sweeping the planet... but the truth of the light is Love of Self, and the truth of enlightenment is the falling away of untruth, the crumbling away of all we once thought to be right and correct. That, to me, doesn't sound like a skip through the daises. In fact, it sounds to me more like a slow slip into madness. It is the release, the rejection, the refusal to embody all that we have been taught, indoctrinated and encouraged to believe in. 

Sensuality and intimacy are healing and freeing! Release to receive.

"Intimacy is seen as a sacred act and must be treated as such; it must happen within a sacred context. Intimacy is not just about pleasure. It is also about creating a healing energy from which... you and your family can benefit.

In the Dagara tradition, we do a ritual called the "Ash Circle." Take some ashes and say some prayers for what you would like to have happen in your intimate space. After making this circle, call on Spirit who can help you keep your intentions clear. Prepare this space so it truly may be a healing space, then create a shrine and invite your partner to see it."
